JOHN A. WILLIAMS

JOHN A. WILLIAMS

CSI chairman and member of the CSI Executive Committee, John Williams was named executive director of CSI in 1965, president and CEO in 1968, and chairman of the board in 1979. He served as chairman of the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Louisville Branch for three years; is a founder and former president of the Association of Financial Technology (AFT); and former chairman of CUBE (The Burroughs Computer Users). In 2004, he was named Distinguished Citizen by the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce. In 2006, he received the Governor's Technology Award as the individual who most deserved to be recognized as a leader in technology innovation in Kentucky. Williams was the first-ever recipient of Murray State University’s Telecommunications Systems Management Department’s Entrepreneurship Award, and the university further honored him by naming the award the John A. Williams Entrepreneurship Award. In 2009, John was the recipient of the Dr. Gene Wells Ray Telecommunications Systems Management (TSM) Lifetime Achievement Award and was inducted into the University of Kentucky’s Gatton College of Business and Economics Hall of Fame. Also in 2009, the Paducah Area Chamber presented him the Summit Award for leadership in education and poverty. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky. Currently, John is serving on the Governor’s Tax Reform Commission and serving as co-chair for the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Leadership Institute for School Principals.

Dick Anderson brings more than 30 years of leadership expertise in telecommunications to the CSI Board of Directors. He rejoined the board in 2012 after serving two years as chief operating officer of the Federal Reserve. Anderson began his career in telecommunications and was vice chairman of BellSouth Corporation and then group president of Global Business Services with AT&T, Inc., following AT&T’s acquisition of BellSouth in 2006. He also served in the administration for Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue and was the 2007 chairman of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. Dick received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Murray State University.

Elected to the CSI Board of Directors in 1998, Dr. Constantine W. (Deno) Curris serves on the CSI Audit Committee. He is president emeritus of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities, Washington, DC, and past president of Clemson University, Clemson, South Carolina; the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa; and Murray State University, Murray, Kentucky. Deno is currently a member of the Murray State University Board of Regents. He has a doctorate from the University of Kentucky, a master’s degree from the University of Illinois and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky.

BASIL N. DROSSOS

Elected to the board in March 2007, Basil Drossos is a member of the CSI Profit Sharing and Audit Committees. He most recently served as an executive director of global purchasing for General Motors Corporation. After joining GM in 1979, Basil held leadership positions in general management, sales and marketing, manufacturing, purchasing and finance within GM's Latin American, European and Asian regions. He has served as a member of GM's Latin American and Asia Pacific Strategy Boards. In 2002, he was named executive vice president and representative director of Isuzu Motors Ltd. in Tokyo, Japan. Prior to GM, Basil worked for Chrysler in Detroit, Michigan, and Lima, Peru. His career began in commercial banking at the Central Trust Company in Cincinnati, Ohio.

BRUCE R. GALL

Elected to the board in February 2003, Bruce Gall serves as chairman of the CSI Profit Sharing Committee. He is CEO of Dornoch Management Corporation in La Quinta, California, and Chairman of Fed Reporter, Inc., a provider of Call Report preparation software for the banking industry. Bruce founded Distributed Planning Systems Corporation (DPSC), developing systems for the banking industry that automated financial institutions' compliance with government reporting requirements. He is a graduate of Sir George Williams University, Montreal, Canada, and Ivey School of Business, London, Canada.

TERRANCE P. HAAS

Terrance (Terry) P. Haas was elected to the CSI Board of Directors in 2012 and serves on the CSI Audit Committee. A successful business executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience, Terry currently serves as chief executive officer of the Harvard Drug Group, where he has been responsible for leading the successful execution of business strategies that drive revenue growth for the company. His previous leadership roles include executive vice president and chief integration officer for AmerisourceBergen, a Fortune 50 corporation. Terry also served as president of AmerisourceBergen Drug Crop., where he assumed full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility for the largest division of the parent corporation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing from St. Louis University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.

A member of the CSI Board of Directors since 1999, David Paxton is chairman of the CSI Executive and Compensation Committees. David currently serves as president and CEO of Paxton Media Group, Paducah, Kentucky. His past positions include Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc. (Chicago and New York) and J.J. B. Hilliard, W.L. Lyons, Inc. David is a graduate of Harvard College and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

STEVEN A. POWLESS

STEVEN A. POWLESS

CEO Steven Powless joined CSI in 1987 as vice president of corporate development. Prior to joining CSI, Steve worked nine years in the Financial Services Division of the Unisys Corporation. In 1989, Steve became executive vice president of CSI, and in 1992, he was appointed to the CSI Board of Directors. In May 1993, Steve was named president and chief operating officer of CSI. In August 1999, Steve was named CEO of CSI, only the second person in the history of the company to hold that position. Steve is a past president and director for the Association for Financial Technology (AFT), a graduate of Leadership Paducah, Leadership Kentucky and Murray State University.

DR. LINDA JOHNSON VITALE

Elected to the board in 2006, Dr. Linda Vitale is Chairwoman of the CSI Audit Committee. Linda is a partner of Manchester Capital and served as professor and chair of information systems at the Gordon Ford College of Business at Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, Kentucky. She has also served as founding president and CEO of CITE and in 2004 was an international finalist for the Intelligent Community Visionary of the Year for her strategic implementation of Connect Kentucky. Linda received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Western Kentucky University and her doctorate from the University of Kentucky.

ROBERT L. WALKER

ROBERT L. WALKER

A CSI board member since 2001, Robert Walker serves on the CSI Executive and Compensation Committees. He is senior vice president and CFO of Western & Southern Financial Group, Cincinnati, Ohio. An attorney, he also served as CFO for National Data Corporation and senior vice president and CFO for Providian Corporation. Prior to that, Robert served as vice president and general counsel for Providian Corporation and tax counsel for The Mead Corporation. He is a graduate of Transylvania University where he also previously served on the board of trustees. He currently serves as the board chair for Tri-Health, a major hospital and physician organization in Cincinnati employing 11,000. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law.

TAMMY SOUDER

TAMMY SOUDER

A CSI employee since June 1992, Tammy Souder was named corporate secretary in 1998 and vice president of corporate administration in July 2005. She also serves as administrative assistant to CSI CEO Steven A. Powless. She has an associate degree in business management from Paducah Community College.
