CSI Chief Executive Officer Steve Powless Receives Nathan B. Stubblefield Award from Murray State University

PADUCAH, Ky., May 23, 2016 – Steve Powless, chief executive officer of Computer Services, Inc. (CSI) (OTCQX: CSVI), a provider of end-to-end banking technology solutions, has received the Nathan B. Stubblefield Award from Murray State University for his presentation, “A Comprehensive Plan to Address Technology Changes,” at the Patterns of Distinction Conference. During the presentation, Powless shared insight into making strategic technology decisions as well as best practices for implementation.

The Nathan B. Stubblefield Award is given to a speaker in the Distinguished Lecture Series in Telecommunications Systems Management and named after the Murray, Kentucky native and inventor of the wireless telephone. The award was first given to Hilda Legg, former director of the Rural Utility Service (RUS) in 2007.

"We were honored to present this award to Mr. Powless,” said Michael Ramage, director, Murray State’s Center for Telecommunications Systems Management. “CSI’s commitment to our program and Steve’s leadership on our national advisory board have been invaluable to our program."

The presentation for which Powless was awarded took place at Murray State’s Patterns of Distinction Security Matters Conference in April. The free security conference offers small business and security experts the opportunity to hear from industry leaders about a variety of issues and topics. This year, 185 leaders from the Paducah-area business community attended the event to learn best practices and network with other professionals.

Powless, who earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Murray State, has been an active participant in several of the university’s programs. He also has been the recipient of others awards from Murray State, including its Distinguished Alumnus Award.

“Staying connected to both my alma mater and the surrounding business community has been an important part of maintaining CSI’s leadership in the technology industry,” Powless said. “It is an honor to be recognized with the Nathan B. Stubblefield Award, and I look forward to maintaining a strong connection to Murray State and its students in order to provide the next generation of business leaders with the opportunity to achieve the same level of success.”

Powless will be presenting, “At the Core of Innovation,” alongside executives from Fiserv and Nymbus, at Bank Director’s upcoming Growing the Bank Conference. The conference will be held at the Four Seasons Resort and Club at Las Colinas in Dallas on May 23rd and 24th.
