And that’s why we make every leadership decision based on the effect it will have on our customers, employees and shareholders. The CSI executive leadership team is committed to making CSI the leading total solutions provider for financial institutions and other industries.

Meet Our Executive Leadership Team

Steve Powless is the CSI CEO, a role in which he provides strategic vision and leadership. He joined CSI in 1987 as vice president of corporate development, and then he was named executive vice president and elected to the CSI Board of Directors in 1992. In 1993, Steve was named president and chief operating officer. He then became president and CEO in 1999, only the second person in CSI history to hold the position. Steve has served the industry in various leadership roles, including being past president and director of the Association for Financial Technology (AFT). He holds a B.S. in Business from Murray State University.

Stan Eckenberg serves as president and chief operating officer for CSI, a role in which he is responsible for day-to-day operations and strategic growth strategies. Since joining CSI in 1992 as director of special projects, he has served as the vice president of product marketing, senior vice president of NuPoint and executive vice president of CSI. Prior to joining CSI, Stan held management roles at Xerox and Unisys Corporations. In addition, he is a past director and president of the Association for Financial Technology, a national trade association. He holds a B.S. in Business from Southern Illinois University.

David Simon has been responsible for setting CSI’s financial strategies and policies since he joined the company in 1995. He oversees accounting, corporate finance, taxation, risk management, human resources and investor relations. David is a director of the Greater Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce, a trustee of the United Way of Paducah-McCracken County, Inc. Endowment Trust, and a past president and director of the St. Nicholas Family Free Clinic. David is also a graduate of Leadership Paducah. He holds a B.A. from the University of Louisville and an MBA from the University of Kentucky.

Paul Koziarz serves as group president for CSI Regulatory Compliance. In this role, he leads the overall strategic direction for CSI’s compliance- and risk-focused business solutions. He has spent more than 25 years in the financial services industry. He was president of Financial Technology, Inc. (FTI), a Chicago-based company that provided financial management and decision support systems to more than 2,000 banks worldwide. He was also a vice president with HNC Software Inc. in San Diego, where he focused on growing the community bank business segment for its profitability and analytics solutions. Paul has an MBA and a B.S. in Finance from Southern Illinois University.

George McGourty serves as group president for CSI Financial Services. In his role, he provides strategic leadership for customer support, education services, implementations, product management and relationship management. Prior to joining CSI, George served in senior executive roles at Open Solutions, Misys and Fidelity. Over the course of his more than 25-year career in the financial services industry, he built and led several successful sales organizations and founded and managed a banking IT services company that later was acquired by Fiserv. George holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Phoenix and an MBA from the University of Florida.

David Culbertson serves as group president for CSI Technology Services, a role in which he leads the overall strategic direction for such initiatives as IT, research and development, telecommunications, document delivery and managed services. In his more than 25-year career with CSI, David has held numerous leadership positions, including vice president of research and business development and vice president of affiliate services. He has served his community on various boards and is currently the board chairman for the Lourdes Foundation. He also is a past president of the Association for Financial Technologies. David holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Virginia and is a graduate the Wharton School Executive Education program.

Kedran Whitten is CSI’s chief marketing officer, a role in which she leads brand development, marketing strategy and public relations initiatives. Kedran has more than 20 years of marketing leadership experience, and she also brings significant experience in developing key marketing measurements, including revenue growth, customer satisfaction, brand awareness, product pricing and positioning. Prior to joining CSI, she was senior vice president of marketing and product management for Comdata Corporation, a leading provider of business-to-business payment solutions. Kedran is a graduate of the Scarlett Executive Leadership program and has a B.S. in Business Administration, Marketing Management from East Carolina University.

Giovanni Mastronardi is CSI’s chief sales officer. He leads CSI’s nationwide sales and sales support organization in achieving of key growth metrics. Prior to becoming CSO, Giovanni served as a regional vice president of sales with CSI, a role in which he worked closely with financial institutions to identify successful strategies for growth and profitability. Giovanni has more than 20 years of experience working with online platforms, including mobile and Internet banking, as well as electronic payment channels. He also has 10 years in direct banking and 14 years of software experience. Giovanni holds a B.S. in Business Administration from San Diego State University.

Keith Monson serves as CSI’s chief risk officer. In this role, Keith maintains an enterprisewide compliance framework for risk assessment and reporting, as well as other key components of CSI’s corporate compliance program. With nearly 25 years of banking experience, he has a wide range of experience in the compliance arena, having served as a chief compliance officer for both large and small financial institutions. His experience also includes assisting financial institutions as a compliance consultant and most recently as a chief risk officer. Keith holds a B.S. in Finance from Truman State University.
