Our History

CSI was incorporated on March 16, 1965, beginning our operations with only six employees and three customers. Today, we are one of the nation’s largest partners for financial technology and software, empowering community and regional banks to grow and compete in an evolving landscape.

From the beginning, we’ve always had a vision for the future and a commitment to delivering outstanding service as a forward-thinking technology partner. For decades, we’ve prioritized building relationships, delivering unmatched service and staying ahead of the curve, growing to thousands of customers nationwide and a full suite of technology solutions.

Like our customers and the financial services industry as a whole, we’ve seen plenty of change in our more than 60 years in business, from increasing regulatory pressure to the rise of open banking to the emergence of artificial intelligence.

In that time, we’ve partnered with hundreds of community and regional financial institutions to deliver industry-leading technology that helps them navigate change, compete and thrive.

But our commitment to our customer-first mentality is what truly sets us apart.

We believe lasting partnerships are built on transparency, integrity and responsiveness. That belief guides every interaction we have with our customers and every investment we make in our platforms.

Since 2022, the support of Centerbridge Partners, L.P., Bridgeport Partners and TA Associates has strengthened our ability to invest in innovation, expand our capabilities and deepen our customer-first philosophy.

During this period of accelerated growth, we expanded our platform through the acquisitions of Hawthorn River in 2023, Velocity Solutions in 2024 and Apiture in 2025, strengthening our ability to help community and regional institutions rival the capabilities of the largest banks while remaining true to their local roots.

In 2025, we also welcomed Nancy Langer as CEO, ushering in CSI’s next chapter with a continued focus on strategic growth and long-term partnership.

That commitment to partnership sets us apart. It’s the foundation on which we will build a better future, deliver even stronger solutions and redefine what it means to innovate. Because if our decades of experience have taught us anything, it’s that customers want innovation, but need great service.
